Leader: Lori Bartlett
Surgery Date: November 2006
Obstacles Overcome: I can not believe all of the changes since my surgery. A lot of the "milestones"
are small but make such a huge difference. Before surgery, I was having trouble doing little things like putting on
my socks and shoes. Now that is not a problem. The swelling is totally gone fronm my feet, my self esteem has
improved by leaps and bounds. I can now walk, work in my garden, climb hills, go hiking with my kids and even mow the
lawn if I have to. My next milestone is to go horseback riding. But to me the best part is the fact that I do
things without even thinking, "Is this something that I can do?"
