Welcome to the Dover Support Group! Leader: Lorrie Abel Surgery Date: August 2006 Changes Since Surgery: I'm gaining more energy. I enjoy many of the activities of daily living that were too painful before. My blood pressure has lowered, and my knee pain has lessened. So far I've lost 73 lbs, pre and post surgery total. I've gone from size 30 to a size 24. Obstacles Overcome: I have overcome limitation due to pain and lack of energy. Support Group Benefits: Support group is a place where every person who attends is on the same page. We all have common problems and common goals. As a group you can listen to and exchange ideas to resolve problems and increase your understand of the tool you have been given. Support group keeps you in touch with Barix Clinics and the staff. You will always be able to get the right answers from the medical and nutritional staff at Barix. Hobbies: I enjoy working with horses, all animals really. I enjoy working in my flower beds. I like to go open mic singing or karaoke. I hope to do more walking along the Towpath Trails along the Erie Canal in the spring.
